Originally from the Netherlands, I moved from Europe to the Riviera Maya after discovering the unique lifestyle and opportunities this region offers. Like many international buyers who arrive here for the first time, I didn’t initially plan to build a life in Mexico. But after spending more time here, it gradually became clear that this was where I wanted to be.

Relocating to another country is exciting, but it also comes with many practical questions and uncertainties. I experienced that process firsthand when I moved to Mexico myself, bringing not only my belongings, but also my cat and my horse, and essentially starting a completely new chapter of life here.

Going through that journey personally gave me a very different perspective on the real estate process. It allowed me to understand not only the legal and investment side of buying property in Mexico, but also the emotional and practical side that many international buyers experience when exploring the idea of building a life abroad.

Over time, Mexico truly became home.
